The Hidden Struggles Here’s the thing: We don’t always see veterans' challenges. After the war, the struggle isn’t over when veterans come home. The real war awaits them. Statistics show that 17% of veterans suffer from PTSD , while 30% carrying the emotional scars of combat are more likely to develop mental health conditions . Veterans are twice as likely to face long-term unemployment compared to civilians. And sadly, 1.5 million veterans are at risk of homelessness , even after years of service.
